Yeah, the Kawataro segment ... I dunno, it was sort of a not very funny but slightly goofy monolog.
The other segments were pretty funny and kinda reminded me of HR Puffnstuff for some reason.
So here's the main screen for the Youkai dictionary. It is broken up into 4 sections based on where each can be found.

You know, when I first saw the trailer for Youkai Daisenso I thought that the main antagonist, Kato Yasunori looked familiar. I thought "gee, he looks like the bad guy from Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis". Well guess what; That's the same character! I woulda never connected the dots if not for Etsushi Toyokawa, the actor who plays Kato in Youkai Daisenso hadn't talked at length about how he hoped to live up to Kyusaku Shimada's portrayal of the character in the previous movies.

The Media Blasters 2 DVD set of The Great Yokai War is showing up on Amazon now. I haven't found much about the extras but according to Twitchfilm.com it'll mirror all of the R3 extras.
amazon.com states that it's shipping September 12.

Cool, thanks. I was wondering when this was going to officially come out. 
I just hope the official version doesn't have bad translations like "Great Goblin" for "Daitengu".
But I have a feeling that hope will be disappointed...

Youkai Daisenso in San Francisco... AGAIN! It will be playing from Sept 1st - 7th at the Red Vic on Haight Street.
I'll give this one a pass since though the couches, coffee and pizza are a nice touch, the screen is too small for epic sized movies.
